These four days in Vienna feel like an interplay of imperial stage and living city. You walk through palace grounds, stand before world-famous paintings and keep slipping into narrow lanes, squares and grand boulevards in between. Sometimes it turns magnificent, sometimes quiet, sometimes entirely everyday – that is exactly what makes Vienna so fascinating.
The route combines the great classics with a good rhythm. Palaces and museums are followed by music, the old town and places where history feels very immediate.

Day 1 · Vienna
Imperial Start at Schönbrunn
Vienna opens with space and atmosphere at the Schönbrunn Zoo, where the morning feels relaxed and full of life. Afterwards you move straight on to the Schönbrunn Palace, whose grounds and rooms set the imperial tone of the trip. In the afternoon the Museum of Natural History Vienna leads you into an entirely different world – with collections that shift your gaze from courtly Vienna towards nature and time.

Art, Sound and Imperial Views
The day starts at the Belvedere Palace, where baroque architecture and garden axes make a grand entrance right away. Then the Musikverein Wien brings that special Viennese blend of elegance and music history into play. At the Albertina things become focused and rich in images once more, with art in a setting that is itself part of the experience.

Vienna's Centre and Its History
On the Graben you are right in the middle of Viennese city life: a wide promenade, historic facades and always something to look at. From there you continue to the Spanish Riding School, where tradition and discipline become almost tangible. The Hofburg closes the arc with imperial grandeur and makes clear how closely power, everyday life and display sit together in Vienna.

Traces of the Old City
At the Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial your view of Vienna grows quieter and more reflective. Then the Column of Pest sets a very different accent: baroque, soaring and firmly present in the streetscape. With St. Stephen's Cathedral you finally reach a place where the city's history is condensed into the smallest of spaces.
