Oslo & Bergen in 6 Days
This trip takes you through two Norwegian cities that feel completely different and fit together all the better for it. In Oslo you start among sculptures, modern architecture and clean waterfront lines, then you move on to Bergen, where narrow lanes, wooden houses and the harbour take over the stage. In between lie museums, viewpoints and places where you don't just look at the city — you feel it.
What makes this route special is the interplay of culture, city walks and natural scenery. You first experience Norway's open, urban side, then dive even deeper into history, water and fjord landscapes in Bergen.

Day 1 · Oslo
Sculptures, Art and Peace
Your Oslo opener begins in The Vigeland Park, where figures, paths and wide lawns immediately give you a feel for the city's rhythm. From there you head to The Royal Palace, whose position right in the middle of the urban fabric makes Oslo feel pleasantly open and accessible. At the National Museum you continue the day with Norwegian and international art, before the Nobel Peace Center turns your attention one last time to ideas, history and the present.

Oslo Between Hillside and Harbour
With Ekebergparken you start a day that elegantly brings art and views together. At Munch things get more focused and personal, with works that go far beyond a single famous painting. Then the city opens up again at the Oslo Opera House, whose clean lines lead straight to the water, before you experience Oslo's modern, relaxed side once more at Deichman Bjørvika.

Between Fortress and Promenade
The day begins at SALT - Art & Music with a raw harbour mood and an Oslo that likes to show its creative, slightly unpolished side. On Karl Johans gate you're right in the flow of the city, between shop windows, facades and plenty of small observations along the way. Akershus Fortress then offers a quieter contrast of walls, history and views over the water, before Oslo City Hall closes the day with striking architecture.

Arriving in Bergen
In Bergen the day starts with the Fantoft Stave Church, whose dark wood and clear form immediately open up a different historical depth than Oslo did. Afterwards Nygårdsparken feels like a relaxed pause in the city's fabric, before the Kode Art Museum - Lysverket brings you back to art and collections in a concentrated way. Finally you're drawn to the Fishmarket in Bergen, where harbour air, voices and movement make the city tangible in the most direct way.

Bergen's Old Layers
At the Gamle Bergen Museum - Bymuseet i Bergen you walk through a Bergen that still speaks strongly of everyday life, timber and a vanished way of city living. Bergenhus Fortress then brings the city's sturdier, defensive side into view and shows how closely history and harbour sit together here. With the Bryggens Museum and St Mary's Church | Bergen the day ends close to the city's origins, between archaeological traces and one of Bergen's most striking sacred spaces.

Mountain Air and a Grand Finale
To finish, you rise above the city with Fløyen and see Bergen from a perspective that suddenly puts paths, water and rooftops in clear order. The ride on the Fløibanen makes the ascent itself part of the experience, before you land back down at Bryggen, right in the middle of the historic wooden rows. Then the Guided day tour - Njardarheimr Viking Village, Nærøyfjord Cruise & Flåm Railway sets an entirely different scale: more landscape, more open space and an image of Norway that stays with you for a long time.
