Jordan in 6 Days
This route feels like a concentrated cross-section through Jordan: ancient cities, lively streets, wide landscapes and rock worlds that seem to grow larger with each day. You stand among Roman ruins, look out over the city from Amman's hills and land shortly after at the Dead Sea. Later the way narrows through rock gorges until Petra appears, and at the end Wadi Rum opens up a whole lot of horizon once more.
What is special about this trip is the shift of spaces and moods. Between capital, biblical places, Nabatean monuments and desert, the route stays varied without losing focus.

What to expect
Expect varied days with city walks, archaeological sites and longer walks on foot, especially in Petra and Wadi Rum. The rhythm is dense but easy to read: often culture in the morning, view and atmosphere in between, landscape or more relaxed stops later.
Day 1 · Amman
Antiquity and the hills of Amman
The start is grand: in the Archaeological Site of Jerash you walk through an ancient backdrop that has stayed remarkably legible. Back in the capital, the King Abdullah I Mosque sets a striking architectural contrast. To close, you save the Amman Citadel, where history and city panorama combine in a single view.

Between ruins and street scene
Today Amman shows its urban heart with history right in everyday life: the Roman Theater takes you into the ancient dimension of the city. In The Duke's Diwan it turns more personal and closer to old Amman. Later, Rainbow Street is just right for experiencing the city's mood in motion.

Gorge, salt and expanse
With Wadi Mujib the day begins rougher and more scenic, with rock, water and a lot of natural drama. Then the scenery opens up completely at the Free Beach On Dead Sea and everything becomes brighter, quieter and wider. At The Baptismal Site of Jesus Christ the day gains a historical and spiritual layer on top.

High above Petra
Today it goes deep into Petra's monumental mountain landscape. At the Temple / Colonnaded Triclinium you feel how closely architecture and rock belong together here. The way to AlDayr demands some stamina but rewards you with one of the region's most impressive structures. With the Royal Tombs the day ends in a setting that still looks mighty even in the last light.

The first look at Petra
At the Petra Visitor Center anticipation gathers before the way really begins. Then Al-Siq draws you in step by step, until the narrowness suddenly opens and The Treasury stands before you. After that, the Street of Facades leads on through the stone center, where Petra's grandeur unfolds bit by bit.

Day 6 · Wadi Rum Village
Wadi Rum on a grand scale
In Wadi Rum the landscape becomes the main character: Jabal Umm ad Dami stands for breadth, height and a sense of real remoteness. Burdah Rock Bridge then brings that typical mix of rock art and adventure the region is known for. In the Khazali Canyon the landscape moves closer to you again and shows how much structure lies even in the apparent emptiness.
