Thailand in 10 Days
This route takes you through three very different faces of Thailand: dense lanes and temple courtyards in Bangkok, quiet mountain temples in Chiang Mai, and limestone cliffs, mangroves and beaches in Krabi. You first stroll through markets and museums, then climb up to viewpoints and sanctuaries, and finally land among hot springs, kayaks and sandy coves. So the trip feels lighter from day to day without losing any impressions.
What is special is the combination of city, culture and nature in a clear rhythm. The great classics are always followed by quieter places, so the trip comes across not only as iconic but also as varied.
Who is this trip for?
This trip is ideal for anyone who wants to see a lot on a first Thailand tour without rushing from highlight to highlight. If you find temples, city history, markets and nature experiences equally exciting and enjoy an active but manageable pace, this route fits very well.
What to expect
Expect days with plenty of walking in cities, plus individual transfers and, later, easygoing nature days with boat trips, viewpoints and beach breaks. The mix is varied: culture or nature in the morning, more relaxed exploring later, with enough scene changes between urban and tropical.
Day 1 · Bangkok
Old Bangkok by the river
To start, Bangkok shows you its rougher, more charming side: in Talat Noi you walk through narrow streets, past workshops, old facades and small everyday moments. Then the mood shifts in Pak Khlong Talat, where colors, scents and busy hustle fill the paths. In Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan it suddenly turns quiet, wide and clear, a strong contrast to the start of the day.

Art, hill, temple
The day begins at the Jim Thompson House Museum with plenty of atmosphere, wooden architecture and a look at another side of the city's history. Then you head up to Wat Saket Ratchawora Mahawihan, where the climb is already worth it along the way and Bangkok appears beneath you step by step. In Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan the day turns down to earth and quiet again, with a wide courtyard and lots of room to look.

Bangkok's great classics
Today the city's famous images are on the program: Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan looks almost graphic from the river, with its striking forms and pale ceramics. Then you follow royal Bangkok into The Grand Palace and on into The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, where splendor, order and symbolism set the tone. For the evening, things may get more easygoing at Asiatique The Riverfront, right by the water and with plenty of movement in the air.

Chiang Mai between nature and stillness
In Chiang Mai the route starts with a special contrast of animal encounter and mountain temples. In the Elephant Nature Park the day moves close to nature and responsible encounters, before continuing to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, high above the city. On the way down, Wat Pha Lad feels almost hidden and, precisely for that, so impressive, embedded in lots of green.

Temple views and old town
With Wat Phra That Doi Kham the day begins above the roofs and fields around Chiang Mai, wide and open. Then it turns more relaxed and creative in Baan Kang Wat, a nice transition back into the rhythm of the city. Later, Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan and Wat Chedi Luang show once more the historic weight and elegance of the old town.

City life into the evening
Today you get to know Chiang Mai from its lively side. Around Tha Phae Gate the city feeling condenses: walls, traffic, encounters and the constant shift between old and new. In the Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre you get the fitting background for it, before the Night Bazaar Chiang Mai takes over the evening with lights, voices and movement.

Warmth, forest and springs
In Krabi the day begins with Wat Tham Suea, where temple atmosphere and striking rocky landscape immediately create a different Thailand feeling. Then it turns pleasantly earthy and relaxed at the KhongThomNuea Hot Stream Waterfall Krabi, with warm water amid the green. To close, the Emerald Pool glows almost unreal between the trees and completes the nature day.

Day 8 · Krabi, Thailand
Boat day and wide views
Ko Hong takes you out onto the water and right into the dramatic karst landscape this coast is known for. Later the view shifts back to land at the Rest Stop View point Khao Ngon Nak, where the landscape suddenly reads as breadth rather than coves. The Khao Ngon Nak Nature Trail turns this into an active finish with forest, rock and open panoramas.

Day 9 · Krabi, Thailand
Mangroves and sea air
Ao Thalane Kayak Krabi shows you Krabi from a calm, almost gliding perspective between waterways and dense vegetation. After paddling, the switch to the Krabi Reaort Beach feels just right: more space, more light, more of a break. So the day stays active without feeling rushed.

Day 10 · Krabi, Thailand
Finale at the dream beaches
To close, Railay Beach offers the postcard scenery once more, but on site it comes across far more concrete: rock faces, boats, bright sand and constantly changing light. From there it is only a short step to Phra nang Cave Beach, where the beach is framed even more dramatically. There is hardly a better way to end this trip than with a sea view and barefoot in the sand.
