Day 1 · Seoul, South Korea
View, park and temple
To start, the N Seoul Tower shows you the city in all its size: dense, hilly and full of contrasts. Then the Seoul Forest Park feels airier, with wide paths and just the right counterpoint to the big-city pulse. In the Bongeunsa Temple the day slows down noticeably once more, before you let it wind down in a modern key between books and clean lines at the Starfield Library.

Along the river to Hongdae
The day begins open and relaxed in Yeouido Hangang Park, where Seoul by the water suddenly feels wide. Later the mood tips toward street life as soon as you dive into Hongdae Street: loud, creative and constantly in motion. On the Hongdae Shopping Street you stay in the middle of the bustle, before Seonyudo Park shows a quieter, greener side of the city once again.

Museum, market and evening light
In the National Museum of Korea you first get a clear, focused look at the country's history. Then the Namdaemun Market pulls you straight into everyday life, with narrow aisles, pace and no end of impressions. Via the Myeongdong Shopping Street you move on into a busy center, before Cheonggyecheon catches the evening with water, light and a pleasantly unhurried finale.

Old alleys, big perspectives
In the Gwangjang Market the day starts with energy right away: dense crowds, quick routines and Seoul up close. Then Ikseon-dong Hanok Village feels almost like a contrasting image, with narrow alleys and historic houses that give the quarter its own beat. In the Insa-dong Culture Street things stay cultural, before the DMZ Tour - Seoul City Tour opens the view far beyond the city.

Palaces and hanok backdrops
Changdeokgung sets the tone in the morning with quiet courtyards, clean lines and a sense of space right in the middle of the city. Through the Bukchon Hanok Village you then move into a quarter where historic houses and steep alleys determine the way. Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Gwanghwamun Gate give the finale grandeur and structure once more, a last day that sums Seoul up in a classic, impressive way.
