This route combines Porto's big set pieces with moments where you simply look and let the city sink in. Over three days you experience Porto from above, at the water and right in the historic centre.

What to expect
Expect three well-filled days with noticeable walking distances, stairs and climbs — they simply belong to Porto. The mix is balanced: gardens, architecture, views and riverside atmosphere alternate so that each day gets a rhythm of its own.
Day 1 · Porto
Gardens, books, wide views
You start off relaxed in the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal, where Porto slowly takes shape between trees, paths and views. Then it's on to the Livraria Lello, whose rooms instantly create a different, almost theatrical mood. With the Torre dos Clérigos and the Miradouro da Vitória, the day ends high above the rooftops — exactly where that first impression of Porto settles in.

Azulejos and the old town
The day starts at the Chapel of Souls, whose tiled facade sets a strong first accent already in the morning. At Porto São Bento you see once more how much this city lives on details, before you switch to the Ribeira right on the Douro and the pace slows down all by itself. Finally, the way leads up to the Porto Cathedral, where Porto feels wider, steeper and older once again.

Bridge and Douro views
On the third day, the Luís I Bridge puts one of the city's great images centre stage: steel, height and the river below. Afterwards you stay by the water at the Cais da Ribeira, where house fronts, promenade and riverside life show Porto's open side. With the Palácio da Bolsa and the Church of Saint Francis, the day closes with historic density and a distinctly different tone from the wide river views before.
