Florence in 3 Days
Three days in Florence feel like a walk through a city where art, stone and light are in constant conversation. You stand in front of world-famous works, step out onto grand squares and a few minutes later you're back in quieter lanes along the Arno. In between, monumental facades, wide views and those typical Florence moments alternate, the ones where you simply stop for a second and look.
This route combines the great classics with neighbourhoods where the city feels more immediate. So you get not only the famous sights but also a good rhythm of museum, square, view and relaxed moving on.
Who is this trip for?
This trip is ideal for anyone who wants to experience Florence compactly but without rushing. If you love art, like being on foot and are looking for neighbourhood atmosphere alongside the icons, this route is a particularly good fit.
What to expect
Expect three well-filled days with plenty of walking, short distances in the old town and a few climbs for views and the dome. The mix is balanced: great museums and churches, with open squares, bridge views and quieter corners on the other side of the Arno in between.
Day 1 · Florence
Art and Grand Backdrops
The opening takes you into the Uffizi Galleries, where Florence begins right away with a dense dose of Renaissance. Afterwards the city opens up on the Piazza della Signoria, which feels like an open-air theatre in stone and makes the political heart of the old republic tangible. With the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the day ends with one of those sights that seem familiar even from photos and then turn out much bigger in person.

David, Duomo and Views
In the morning you head to the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, where you first experience Florence in a concentrated, close-up way. On the Piazza del Duomo it then becomes wide and lively again, with facades, sightlines and constant gazing upwards. If you climb Brunelleschi's dome, you get not only a masterpiece of engineering but also a moment in which the city suddenly comes together as one single picture.

Arno, Lanes, Garden Views
The third day begins on the Ponte Vecchio, where the Arno and the densely built bridge instantly create that unmistakable Florence mood. From there you cross into Oltrarno, where the pace calms down a little and the city feels more personal. In the Basilica di Santo Spirito things become clear and powerful once more, before the Giardino Bardini closes the day with greenery, paths and beautiful views of Florence.
