These four days in Barcelona move effortlessly between grand forms and everyday city moments. You stand in front of shimmering facades, walk through narrow lanes, look out over the sea of houses from the hills and end up back at the water. Expect several well-filled days with noticeable walking distances, climbs to viewpoints and quieter stretches in neighbourhoods and interiors in between. The route mixes famous highlights with open city views, giving each day its own rhythm.
Day 1 · Barcelona
Gaudí and grand views
Right at the start Barcelona shows its playful side: Casa Batlló looks as if it were in motion, while La Pedrera - Casa Milà commands the street with its sweeping curves as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Later, in Park Güell, the city gradually opens up beneath you between mosaics, paths and terraces. To finish, the MUHBA Turó de la Rovira delivers a wide, clear view over rooftops, hills and the grid of the city.

Heights and old town
The day begins up at Montjuïc Castle, where Barcelona suddenly looks vast and orderly, with the sea in the picture. Then you dive straight into the dense weave of the Gothic Quarter, where narrow lanes, squares and shadows constantly alternate. The Cathedral of Barcelona gives this part of the city a striking centrepiece once more, before the Palau de la Música Catalana closes the day with colour, ornament and urban elegance.

Icons and contrasts
With the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia you start a day that makes Barcelona's sense of scale and detail especially clear. Shortly afterwards, the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau shows how impressive even an entire complex of buildings can be as one coherent idea. Then it gets wide and open again up at the Bunkers del Carmel, before the detour to Spotify Camp Nou sets a very different, thoroughly urban Barcelona moment.

Sea, stone, city
On day four Barcelona begins in La Barceloneta, brighter, airier and more relaxed, close to the water and with plenty of movement in the streets. From there the route leads to the Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar, whose calm, clear presence forms a strong contrast to the beach district. Afterwards, the El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria tells of the city's layers, before the Arc de Triomf lets the day fade out in a broad, open urban scene.
